About the position
We are hiring CDL drivers in Laredo, TX (78045) for Texas‑only regional OTR dry van routes. Enjoy weekly home time with 80% drop‑and‑hook freight, dedicated planners, and familiar repeat customers. Earn an average of $1,200 per week with consistent miles and immediate openings across South Texas.
Pay & schedule
- Starting mileage pay: Standard OTR mileage pay scale
- Guarantee pay: First 3 months after first solo dispatch
- Average weekly earnings: $1,200
- Weekly mileage: 1,700 – 1,900 miles
- Short haul pay: Same as OTR rate
- Stop pay: $15 per stop
Home time & schedule
- Home weekly – once a week (6 days on, 2 days off)
- Both day and night shifts available
- Weekend work required – weekends off not guaranteed
- Holiday work expected as needed
- Night and early morning driving required
- Texas Hours of Service (HOS) rules apply
Freight details
- Drop & hook – 80% of loads are drop and hook
- No‑touch freight – live unload not applicable
- Texas‑only lanes with familiar routes and repeat customers
- Dedicated planners ensure consistent freight
Driver requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor‑trailer experience
- Clean MVR and PSP – no major preventable accidents
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screen
- Must live within 250 miles of Laredo, TX (78045)
- Endorsements: not required
- No owner operators, no teams, and no trainees accepted
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Weekends off are not guaranteed – schedule is based on freight demand
- Must maintain a high safety score and remain crash‑free
- Night and early morning driving is a regular requirement
- Holiday work may be required based on operational needs
