About the position
We are hiring CDL drivers in West Valley City, UT (84120) for OTR Dry Van regional routes across the Northwest Division (OR, UT, WA). Enjoy weekly home time with a mix of live load/unload, preload, and drop‑and‑hook freight, dedicated planners, and familiar repeat customers. Earn an average of $1,300–$1,500 per week with consistent miles and immediate openings across the SLC area, southern Idaho, and the Pacific Northwest. Must have at least 6 months of experience.
Pay & schedule
- Starting mileage pay: $0.50–$0.55 per mile (6‑month pay band)
- Guarantee pay: Driver Performance Bonus (DPP) eligible based on productivity
- Average weekly earnings: $1,300 – $1,500
- Weekly mileage: 1,900 – 2,200 miles
- Short haul pay: Same as OTR rate
- Stop pay: $15 per stop
Home time & schedule
- Home weekly – once a week
- Both day and night shifts available
- Weekend work required – weekends off not guaranteed
- Holiday work expected as needed
- Night and early morning driving required
- Seasonal weather/wind can slow drivers down
Freight details
- Load/unload: Live load, live unload, preload, and drop & hook
- Dense coverage and capacity across the region
- Primary routes: I‑5, I‑15, I‑84, and I‑90
- Hub states: OR, UT, WA – with frequent runs through ID
- Repeat customers and consistent freight flow
Driver requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor‑trailer experience
- Clean MVR and PSP – no major preventable accidents
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screen
- Must live within 250 miles of West Valley City, UT (84120)
- Endorsements: none required
- Owner operators and teams are welcome – trainees not accepted
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Things to know
- Weekends off are not guaranteed – schedule is based on freight demand
- Must maintain a high safety score and remain crash‑free
- Night and early morning driving is a regular requirement
- Holiday work may be required based on operational needs
- No transition bonus and no sign‑on bonus
